This event is family and dog friendly (dogs must be leashed, and play well with others!) Just because there is no “official” SantaCon event host person, doesn’t mean we can’t (unofficially) have a SantaCon Gathering anyways…. there is nothing stopping any Santa’s or Sexy Clause’s from dressing up and meeting downtown in our beloved city of Lakeland and supporting local businesses & nightlife.   A few of the local bars have agreed to run drink specials and a few events for a nights of costume fun. We’ll update as we reach out to more businesses.   Here is the tentative order of stops, however each business will be open for their normal hours and offering specials to those in costume! ====================== 6:00pm – 6:45pm = Lakeland Brewing Company will be having drink specials in their beer garden. 7:00pm – 7:45pm Molly McHugh’s Irish Pub will be having a DJ with Christmas karaoke. 8:00pm – 8:45pm = Hurricane Alley will have specials and a large scale game ...

Lakeland Snowfest December 2016

Lakeland’s Snowfest 2016 Date: December 3, 2016 Time: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM EST Snowfest is a holiday event for the whole family. In fact, there will be arts & crafts, specialty vendors, inflatables, live entertainment and more!  In addition, this year there will be TWO snow mountains! You may even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus! Admission to Snowfest:  Entrance to inflatables is $1.00. Admission to the Snow Mountains will be a donated canned food item, or a $1.00 donation. All donated items will go to local charities. Expressly, Polk County Senior Orphans (seniororphansofpolkcounty.org) and VISTE – Volunteers in Service to the Elderly. Red, White & Kaboom Fireworks Independence Celebration will take place at Lake Mirror along the Frances Langford Promenade on Sunday, July 3rd from 5:00 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a breathtaking fireworks display dazzling the crowd at 9 p.m. after Clemons Road and opening act FOUNT entertain the crowd.  The historical Federal Building at 124 Tennessee Avenue in Lakeland is under a new lease. The lessors are none other than the prolific Lakeland Real Estate group; Broadway Real Estate who currently lay claims to the Lake Mirror Tower, McKay Building, Center State Building and the soon to be finished NoBay Village.  Notable Broadway tenants include CenterState Bank, SunTrust Bank, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and LockHeed Martin.  Broadway Real Estate plans invest an estimated $1 – 1.5 million to make the Federal Building habitable for future tenants. Their focus is to bring more attention to this section of downtown. “The hope is that it creates some action on Tennessee Avenue and starts to stretch downtown just off of Kentucky (Avenue), from a restaurant retail perspective,” Broadway President Matt Clark said. “More needs to happen down there but hopefully it’s a step in the right direction.”  Broadway Real Estate has been in negotiations with a ...
